Hendoyren — Support
A native SwiftUI client for your own OpenClaw AI gateway, on iPhone, iPad, Apple Vision Pro, and Mac.
What you need
- Your own OpenClaw instance with its
/v1/chat/completionsendpoint enabled. - Network reachability to it — Tailscale works great.
- iOS/iPadOS 17+, visionOS 1+, or macOS 14+.
- Optional: your own ElevenLabs API key for spoken replies.
Setting up
- QR code (easiest): run
openclaw qron your Mac, then in Hendoyren tap Scan QR Code. - Manual: Settings → Add Gateway → enter your gateway URL (e.g.
https://yourname.tailnet.ts.net) and bearer token. - Vision Pro / Mac: sign in to the same iCloud account as your iPhone — the gateway syncs over automatically.
Choosing your AI
Hendoyren never picks an AI for you. The source selector under the title bar lists every AI available to you — each OpenClaw gateway you've added, the paired demo, and on-device Local AI — and starts on No AI selected. Tap it, choose a source, and start chatting; tap it again any time to switch which AI answers.
Trying the demo
No OpenClaw yet? With an invitation code you can chat against a small hosted preview (Anthropic Claude Haiku) to see how the app feels. On the welcome screen tap Use invitation code →, enter the code, and tap Pair. The demo is added to the source selector and selected automatically, so you can start chatting right away — and you can switch back to it from the selector whenever you like. The demo has a shared $1.00/day budget and 30 messages/minute per code; it has none of OpenClaw's skills, memory, or tools. Request a code at hendoyrenapp@gmail.com.
Troubleshooting
- Can't connect: confirm Tailscale is connected on every device and OpenClaw is running (
openclaw status); verify the gateway URL in Settings. - Keeps dropping: usually a network issue — Hendoyren auto-retries; tap Retry in the banner.
- "Server identity changed": OpenClaw's TLS certificate rotated. Compare the fingerprints shown and tap Trust New Fingerprint only if you rotated it intentionally.
- Voice not working: add your own ElevenLabs key in Settings → your gateway → ElevenLabs.
- Inspect failures: Settings → Diagnostics shows every connection attempt and error; use Copy Log to share.
